Top ten Muslim competitive countries

The International Economic Forum published a global competitiveness report which ranks countries based on the 113 criteria united in 12 categories. The main indicators are innovations, infrastructure, financial market, education, market efficiency, etc.

IslamReview portal made a top list of Muslim counties ranked by this report.

Top ten Muslim competitive countries

1. Qatar (5,3 points)

Qatar is at the top of our list. It is on the 14th place in the report. According to the report, the GDP level of the country is 202 billion dollars. GDP per capita which has five-times increased within the last 25 years is estimated as 100260 dollars. Macroeconomic results of the country turned out to be the best showing of Qatar. The experts ranked it as 6,7 out of 7 points. The Arabic monarchy took the second place in the global report on this index. Education and institutions of Qatar were also highly ranked.

2. United Arab Emirates (5,2 points)

UAE is on the second place of our list. The country is on the 17th place of the global report. The GDP level of UAE is 396 billion dollars and GDP per capita is estimated as 43875 dollars. The best index of the country is macroeconomic situation which was ranked at 6,5 points. Infrastructure (6,3) and education (6,2)  have been also quite highly ranked.

3. Malaysia (5,2 points)

Malaysia is the next after UAE. The GDP level of Malaysia was estimated as 312 billion dollars and GDP per capita is 10547 dollars. The best index in the country is education which was ranked at 6,3 points. Infrastructure (5,5) and macroeconomic environment (5,4) have been also quite highly ranked.

4. Saudi Arabia (5,1 points)

Saudi Arabia took the 25th place in the global ranking report. The GPD level is 745 billion dollars and GDP per capita is 24847 dollars. Like in many other Arabic countries, the best index of the kingdom is macroeconomic environment (6,6 points). The system of education was also quite highly ranked (6 points).

5. Kuwait (4,6 points)

Kuwait is in the top 5 Muslim countries and it took 34th place in the global report. The GDP level of the country is 185 billion dollars and GDP per capita is 47639 dollars. The best index is macroeconomic context in the country (6,7 points). All the rest indices were not that highly ranked.

6. Indonesia (4,5 points)

Indonesia took 37th place in the global report. The GDP level of the country was estimated as 870 billion dollars and GDP per capita is 3509 dollars only. The best index of the country is the market efficiency (5,7 points).

7. Bahrain (4,5 points)

Bahrain is the 7th on our list. The country was ranked as the 39th on the global market. The GDP level is 32 billion dollars and GDP per capita is 27435 dollars. The system of education was ranked higher than other indices (6,2 points).

8. Azerbaijan (4,5 points)

Azerbaijani GDP level is 73 billion dollars and GDP per capita is 7889 dollars. As presented in the report, the best index is macroeconomic environment (6,4 points).

9. Kazakhstan (4,5 points)

Kazakhstan is the ninth on our list. It took the 42nd place in the global report. The GDP level of this Asian republic is 220 billion dollars and GDP per capita is 12843 dollars. The best index in this country is its macroeconomic environment (5,7 points)

10. Тurkey (4,4 points)

The top ten Muslim countries list is closed by Turkey. The country is on the 51st place in the global report. The GDP of Turkey is 826 billion dollars and GDP per capita is 10815 dollars. The system of education is the most highly ranked index of the country (5,7 points).
Next on the list are Oman (4,2 points), Jordan (4,2 points), Morocco (4,2 points), Iran (4,1 points) and Tajikistan (4 points).
