Vladimir Zhirinovsky: “Turkey should be abolished all together. It should be given to the Kurds, Armenians, Greek and Bulgarians”

Vladimir Zhirinovsky: “Turkey should be abolished all together. It should be given to the Kurds, Armenians, Greek and Bulgarians”

The chairman of the Liberal-Democratic Party at the Russian State Duma Vladimir Zhirinovsky claimed that the republic of Turkey needs to be released from the current government and Istanbul should be renamed Constantinople.

“I could be a military commandment of the liberated territory like Zhukov in Berlin in 1945. Istanbul is to be renamed Constantinople, orthodox temples are to be restored and Russian is to be made a second language,” – noted the Russian parliamentarian.
The politician also called to abolish Turkey in order to divide it into several parts.

“Turkey should be abolished all together. It should be given to the Kurds, Armenians, Greek and Bulgarians”, - declared the Liberal Democratic Party leader.

In Zhirinovsky’s opinion, both the Kurds and Armenians need Russian military support. He noted that both the Kurds and Armenians are willing to retaliate upon Ankara, but they need Russian weapon for it.

The Liberal Democratic Party leader reassured that none of the Turkey allies from the North Atlantic Alliance will support it.
“Why would the whole planet fight because of some Turks?” – concluded the Russian politician.

It is worth reminding that Zhirinovsky called to recognize the Turkish part of Kurdistan independent and demand to pass the original Armenian territory to Erevan.  Zhirinovsky’s statement followed the reaction of the Turkish prime-minister Ahmet Davutoglu who did not recognize the Crimean peninsula as being Russian territory during his visit in the Ukraine.

At that point, Zhirinovsky said the following: “In response to this, we should recognize Kurdistan as an independent state and demand them to return the territory of the Western Armenia”.
